Wings
By Aprilynne Pike
Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful—too beautiful for words.
Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.
In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.

My Review
The thing I like most about paranormal books is that you can take almost any mythological or paranormal creature and no matter how many books there are out there you can still make it all yours. The fea are one of those creatures that can be similar in their basic mythology but unique to an authors own imagination. Wings takes the fea to a whole new level that is so unique that no matter how many books with fea folk I've read (and that's alot) I've never read anything quite like this before. Bravo Aprilynne for a very original and I must say very intriguing way of looking at the complete differences between the fea and humans. She didn't just put a new spin on an old myth she rewrote it all together.
