Ever Shade by Alexia Purdy

For Shade, a chance meeting with a powerful Teleen faery warrior who wields electrical currents and blue fires along his skin has her joining him on a treacherous mission for the good Seelie Faerie Court across the land of Faerie. Magic and malice abound and nothing is what it really seems to be.

The evil Unseelie Queen and her treacherous allies are round every corner as Shade makes her way across the breathtaking landscapes of the world of Faerie, which exists alongside the mundane human world. Shade discovers her own uncharted magic and meets some of the most powerful warriors in Faerie while battling evil dryads, conniving Teleen guards and challenges on her life with every step in a world where nothing can be taken for granted.

About the author:
Living in Las Vegas, NV! Trying to fit in the writing in between taking care of my four kids and working as an RN. I read more than I write but enjoy both extremely. I can only write while listening to music and late at night works best. Paranormal Urban fantasy and Poetry are my specialities and extreme loves! My debut novel Ever Shade: A Dark Faerie Tale Series with Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing is now available at Amazon.com.

My review
Ever Shade was awesome!  I loved the adventure that Shade finds herself on and I love the characters that have volunteered to accompany on her journey as well as those she has picked up along the way.
I love a good "fairy tale" and this book has so much potential to be an epic tale. Shade finds out she is half fey and is needed to take a journey into the fey world she knows nothing about to help end a war, bring peace among the fey and fulfill her destiny. A destiny she knows nothing about. I love the characters but as one who likes to get obsessed about my books I felt like I never learned enough about them to truly feel like they were part of my imaginary life. With that said, I also want to say that I cannot wait for the books to come.  I love Alexia's writing style and her characters are totally calling to me to want more.
I have to say this as well, I love Soap. I think he has a spark of Puck in his personality and I can't wait to get to know him better. Dylan is a huge question mark to me but I am beginning to see something that wasn't there when he first came into the story. And Jack, well I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens there.
I really loved the story and all of the characters and i would recomend this book to anyone looking forward to reading something that I'm sure will be an awesome series!
