The Vampire Queen's Servant (Vampire Queen #1) by Joey W. Hill

"Paranormal erotica from an award-winning author who stands out in a genre known for its out-of-the-ordinary love play." (Romance Studio)

Lady Elyssa Yamato Amaterasu Wentworth is a centuries-old vampire who's been given a new servant-Jacob, a total alpha male unaccustomed to submitting to any woman's wishes. What really binds Jacob to her are not her sensual midnight hungers, but something far more provocative. It stirs her blood, renews her life, and awakens her soul like only true love can. The passion between Elyssa and Jacob yields something else unexpected-a shared history that reaches back through the centuries and is fated to challenge their destiny like nothing ever will again.

My Review

O.K. I said I'd never do this but before I start i have to say SPOILER ALERT I just can't tell you why I liked this book without giving something away.
Lyssa wanted a meal. Preferably something muscular, a man whose long, powerful body would serve her well as she took his blood. She would hold him down, drink her fill and ride him hard.
That was the first three sentences in a book that is hot hot hot!!! After the first couple of chapters I felt like I needed a cold shower but i couldn't put the book down. When Lyssa takes Jacob as her servant all she wants is to break his strong will, bend it to her own and make him a true slave but Jacob proves to be a very stubborn Irishman who has his own plans for his lady. As strong and domineering Lyssa is he knows she has a wall around her heart that she allows no man to get close to and he is determined to shatter it at all costs.
As sexually fueled as this book is it also has a very strong story line. I loved the moments of tenderness that are shared as they break the rules of the master/servant barriers and find in each other what has been missing from each of their lives. This is a sexy book and I think any hot blooded woman would agree (I say blushing lol).
